Where do you go?

Tonight I’m staying at the Shell truck park at Emsworth, A27. Asked the guy if I could use the toilet. He said “no”. I’ve spent £20 in there tonight, if I was going to rob him, I would have done it 25 mins ago before he locked the door. Why do some people lack basic humanity? A carrier bag it is then I guess unless anyone else has suggestions.

You should hang the carrier bag on his door handle once you’ve filled it up [emoji90]

Against that have you seen the state some ( I’m not sure what you’d call them ) leave toilets in , for god sake is it to hard to flush the toilet , wipe you’re spills when you’ve finished , if you’ve had a curry use the toilet brush , I’m not excusing the you can’t use the toilet as I’ve been in the situation and it’s not nice , but seeing the state some leave toilets in I can understand there not wanting us to use them , as they say a few ■■■■ it up for the majority

Is the door locked for night time security or summat? Single manned filling station at night? I can understand that. Not good, but it is what it is.

Get yourself one of these.

Starbucks?

All good answers, especially the Bumper Dumper but boringly it turns out that Starbucks was correct. In the heat of the moment, sometimes, you can become target fixated. Shame on Shell though for not providing basic facilities for their best customers and next time I need to spend £400 of my boss’s hard earned on a tank full of motion lotion it will be Esso that gets the gig,

Always keep a traffic cone in the cab. Caught short? Sit on it (not the pointy end, that’s for other things), do business, dispose of and then reaquire new traffic cone.

Maybe I’m odd but if I’m out for the night, I make sure night ablutions are taken care of in my last break somewhere suitable. Leaving just a piddle to take care of. That job is covered by an adblue container at worst.

Ignore the pun but ■■■■ poor planning prevents perfect performance!

Didn’t you know that truck drivers are scum, even to these truck stop staff who take your money. They must surely provide toilet facilities by law ! You need to take legal advice … but make sure you destroy the bag of poop first LOL.

When the BP truck stop at Rugby first opened I once parked and walked to the building and noticed some dirty sod who was too lazy to walk to the building did it right by the side of his cab, I hope that when he woke up he forgot about it and trod in the mess.

I’m not sure about the services at Emsworth but I’d think describing them as a “truckstop” is pushing it. I think the fuel station shuts it’s doors overnight for security? There is a toilet inside during the day for customers. I can see why the night staff would refuse to let ANYONE in at night. Not nice but…

or gamble on a good aim for a plastic bag.

Love it - want one

i think those portable ones are a great idea…but difficult to store…unless on the back of the unit…worse still is where does one empty it and wash it out…on campsites there are facilities for doing this…but not in services or truckstops…unless you just walk across the said premises with the internal bag…but i would imagine flushing it could cause problems…no doubt some would use the hard shoulder as they do with ■■■■ bottles.
