Is it caravan on the south coast,a long haul flight,a sportsor scuba diving trip?My fave spot is a small village on the sea at Calahonda,3 miles East of Motril,Spain.
I normally go to Mygate, it’s easy to find and has everything I missed. Not too far either.
If you’re ann owner/driver at the moment then nowhere would be the answer! Maybe a long weekend in Castellon waiting for tiles!!

I have had a few of them myself and always managed to enjoy myself! Last time I parked at that place at Onda and spent a pleasant weekend walking round town and sampling “Senorita Beater” at local hostelries…

Had a couple of 24’s in Calahonda whilst heading up to load in Almeria.
Nice enough place.
About 6-7 yrs ago when I was still doing Spain I went with the family to Benidorm, all the time we were there I had the almost uncontrolable urge to go up to the coach park, (there were 2 brits there when the airport bus took us past) down to Elche to tip or run up to Pobla de Valbona to load onions. (in a hire car!!)
Won’t hoiday in Spain anymore, too many distractions.

will be driving the car and the family back to wales to visit the parents in august. we get most of the month off as its very quiet in spain in august and it works out cheaper even with hotels, fuel, tolls and ferries than so called cheap airlines. recent quote for 4 flights malaga to cardiff at least 800 euros plus hire car in wales but i reckon can do it in diesel peugeot for about 600 with all expenses
i think a typical holiday to a tour driver is going back to their own house lol

Would like to go diving with sharks off a drop reef, where the depth of the ocean floor suddenly drops to miles of depth, with strong tides and currents to push the dive group along.Ragoria,or something like that in the far east.Sunken Japenese aircraft fleet in Tuk,Scapa Flow, scuttled German navy fleet,in the Orkney islands,is worth a dip.

We hire a British narrowboat, for a week on the British canals.
No traffic, no rush, park up where and when you like.
The scenery is constantly changing and you have time to look at it.
It gets you and your partner away from all the normal daily grind for a total change of pace.
There are boats with sleeping for two families, to lighten the work load and spread the cost, cos it isn’t a cheap holiday.
Try
to give you some ideas.
There are lots of companies with fleets of from 1 to 10s of boats, all over the canal system, hiring out boats of various sizes.
I,ve just spent 10 days in Torrevieja on steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, hot pot , pints of Tetlys, shopping in Iceland reading the Daily Mirror by the pool everyday it was heaven. If I lived back in Manchester its probably the last place I would go to.
If I get organised I’ll go somewhere on the bike, but me and organised are distant cousins.
Did get 2 days off in Slovenia waiting for the truck to come back from Turkey this year. It’s great when it’s work related as the only thing we had to pay for was the hire car.
But to be honest it’s nice to get home and catch up with friends and family.
