I’ve searched ebay and google on defect report pads but none of them offer the ones that include the crane. I’ve tried the RHA shop, the FTA shop and several other sites but no luck.
Anyone know what those specific ones are called, the brand I mean?
TIA

Hi Yoni, you into construction materials now?
As if you are, enjoy the dust and grit in your hair!

Anyway I have no answer, just a question:
Why are you as the driver trying to locate administration supplies rather than the operator?
Hi Evil,
Yes i’m driving HIAB mainly for Jewson but i’m Ltd. I love it, just the winter doesn’t bring much custom so can’t wait for spring to start.
I want my own copies of the defect reports, just to cover my own back. I can’t find the triple copies for truck and crane, Jewson have their own double copy ones. I think i’ll just get a folder and keep the 2nd copy.
Btw I love dirt [emoji6]

And I’m sure the sites like having a bit of eye candy turning up…
As for your own copy, I assume you only need these when there is an issue/defect, so why not just take a pic with your phone?
I’m not so much of a fan of the dust and dirt, us men don’t like showering every day!
Hence I didn’t enjoy this gig so much, which is similar to your work… viewtopic.php?f=5&t=136558
Probably similar hours, but possibly not quite so seasonal…

Thanks for the offer but I have tried scaffolding and i’m quite proud to have lasted a WHOLE week. I think I lost about 10kg and gained lots of muscle. The guys said they’ve never had a woman last even a day. Anyway, i’m doing okay doing agency HIAB, overall quite good money and as i’m Ltd I get lots of taxcredits too.
I’d like to know how it works if I had my own HIAB lorry, do you know how you get work then?
Well your experience of the job was different to mine, as all the stillages were moved with either a HIAB, tower crane or telehandler. And if the gear wasn’t in a stillage, it didn’t go anywhere. I drove the truck, the scaffolders had their own labourers, and I wasn’t one of them!
But anyway, the question of running your own truck and getting your own work…
Check out the owner drivers section, and you’re a braver woman than me!
