You are so nearly right, just got the name wrong! It’s actually Pelham Place and not Marine Drive.

But what is the event■■?

Ah! OK, I’m a Yorkie so should know that :laughing:

But Marine Drive in Scarborough is the “real” road name and we always called it “The Prom” (Or the place to get wet when it’s rough!)
There is a Marine Drive in Seaford, Brighton, Worthing etc., but not in Hastings…

I’m going to give it to you anyway! And the event was of course the Olympic Torch Relay when it overnighted in Hastings…
