Right on! Bab al Hawa.At the time there was some scrapping with Israel so all transit trucks had to form up in convoy at Bab al Hawa to have a military ■■■■■■ through to Derra to make sure we were not smuggling arms to the Israeli’s!
Longest transit of Syria I ever took,including a night parked up on the hard shoulder in the middle of nowhere.An old Arab lady was knocking on cab doors at night trying to sell her grand daughter!
This was about 1982,there was no problem with belly tanks at that time.
