Dobwalls bypass has that set up on it
The A38 bypass at Dobwalls is home to the £300,000 bridges which are part of a pilot scheme by the Highways Agency to reduce the road’s environmental impact.
The expensive metal structures made with wire and mesh panels were designed to imitate hedgerows, guiding the bats to and from their roosts. But a Highways Agency survey has found that just 12 to 14 of the nocturnal animals use the bridges — equating to around £21,400 per bat.
