correct flip the closest city is valencia, any idea of the town or ind est? there’s a clue in the picture (if you use that particular fuel card that is)
No sorry I went for the answer based on your last post on Euro Forum. I’ll take an incorrect guess at Puig. I haven’t shipped out since 2001 so although I used to do nowt but Spain & Portugal for the last 4 years before that I probably wouldn’t recognise anywhere anymore We still went over the top of Etxegarate then & Velate too if you were haz’ or just fancied the scenery instead of the tunnel. There was no extra parking at Sunbilla & the Teruel road was still single track all the way. The short cut from Carinena to the national just short of Tudela was all being marked up for improvement & widening so I guess all the fun’s gone off that stretch too. I miss Spain but reading the forums of late I couldn’t be doing with the hassle now. Even the red caps weren’t too bad then if you spoke a little of the lingo to them…
the teruel road is motorway all the way now from the A7 to zaragoza and bypasses all the times so boring, and the shortcut via almunia de doña godina is much better saves a lot of time.
as for where am i parked, outside the AS24 in ribaroja de turia near the junction of the A7 and the A3 in valencia
Aye, a bit different nowadays. No es mismo eh? Me Spanish is a bit rusty now too La Almunia that was the place I was trying to recall,& the town just past there northbound,we used to go through the centre over a terrible definitely not, level crossing, almost scraped your underrun bars going over it,then past the Plaza de Toros & out the other side onto the openlands. They bypassed it & a good restaurant opened up on the bypass, owned by a Galician chap & his English wife, happy days
. Plenty of tinto & gaseosa & far too many carajillos
How about the restaurant at the top of the climb into Barracas with the char grill in the eating area? Had many a convivial evening & even weekend there getting amongst it with the locals. They even took me & a mate off into the hills shooting with them one sunday, that was memorable I can tell you,if only for the session after
you want to be careful going off into the hills with the locals up there bit too much like deliverence
