when the cpc came in I increased my rate. no complaints yet
2-5% from 1/1/15 + minimum £300 but projected as £650 bonus all on top of a £3k a year rise in April due to company changing hands
Rates went up in sept, only for them to bring them back down to the old rates on 1st jan
Pay rise just had in November…and it was a nice rise of £2 ph.
Oh and I didn’t need anybody else to get me my raise…I simply walked into the office and negotiated my own pay rise.
Getting fed up listening to people who haven’t got the balls to talk to management for a rise, instead they whinge and bleat on about unions etc etc.
Man up, prepare what you are going to say then knock on the manager/owners door and demand a raise…its a simply as that…after all many drivers seem to be good at ■■■■■■■■■■■■ to other drivers!
andrew.s:
last august-after i handed my notice in due to a very good offer somewhere else
then i got the “what will we have to pay you to stay?”
thrashed out a deal and i stayed.very very worthwhile![]()
Its as simple as that.
If you are a good driver and worth keeping then the ball is in your court!
Went from 22k to 23.5k according to my letter from regional manager as of 1st Jan '15.
Not bad for a newbie
Last pay rise I had was at co-op in 2013 just before I left, it was 1.5%, Turners tried to sell the new fuel bonus as a “pay rise” but it isn’t!
I’ve done the best thing I can and found a new job paying a lot more an hour, which will enable me to DRASTICALLY reduce the amount of hours I’m doing.
HAPPY DAYS
We got a 9% rise, guaranteed job security for 3yrs and over 3k in shares in the company.Plus as our depot moved to the next junc of the M62,£800 every 6 months for 3 years…
Thanks RM.
Not sure what happens after the 3 years though,I’m sure the union have something in mind.
I’m getting one every year since I start with my current employer three years ago.
We had one and it was a really good one. It was basically 40 hrs basic pay, then 15 hrs guaranteed overtime.
Sounds good and it was until some bobbers in our yard started rushing about and getting their runs done loads quicker then they were before pay rise and guaranteed overtime!
They weren’t washing their wagons and taking the ■■■■ so after a week boss abolished it and put everyone back on old contract. So we had a pay rise for a week lol!!!
We had one the year before, sounds good, however we were awarded it then told that the pay rise was to be paid into our company pension so we haven’t really had one!!!
Maybe this year…
We got a 2% pay rise, first in atleast 6 years. Comes out to around £550 per year.
2% payrise in October plus 30p per hour livehaul supplement…thank you very much
