Surely running over the cyclist and knicking his bike and twuntcam would have been the logical solution.
This can be more hassle though especially with so many squeelers and cameras around.
The correct course of action is to stay in ones vehicle and try to diffuse the situation as these confrontations bugger up ones karma for days. Its also a common hijack method for a cyclist in cahoots with other baddies to attempt to get a driver away from their cab.
I did meet a driver once who carried a gun, cant really risk bringing mine to work for obvious reasons. Especially cab audits… hiviz-check, safety helmet-check, gloves -check, Berreta-check.
[Obviously I dont own a gun and this post is just standard giving it the big un on tinterweb].
Cyclists bring out the worst I’m me,it’s the fact most of them are pompous Lycra wearing middle class bell ends that gets me mad…
Who the hell they think they are telling drivers how to drive to allow for them beggars beleif.
I’m with the above. We need to see the video now.
And all of the video, lets see the run up to what caused the cyclist to loose the plot; there is always two sides to these incidents. Cyclists are far too often treated horrendously by other road users and it can’t be of any big surprise if some of them from time to time want a right of reply.
I had a funny situation yesterday while driving through Attercliffe, Sheffield.
I’d overtaken this cyclist twice and was at the lights (on red) I moved to the left so I wouldn’t have to pass him again (I was bob tail) then the lights changed so I was off, then another cyclist who was on the path decided to join the road
I need to turn left about 100 yards after lights so stayed behind the just joined cyclist with left indicator on, initial cyclist then overtakes me and I assume thinks I’m taking the pi55 (holding everyone up behind him) and calls me a ham shanker
then sees the other cyclist and puts his hand up to apologise
No one hurt, I didn’t get out of the cab and was delayed about 15 seconds for the end of my shift

he threw the first punch which gave you the right to kick the crap out of him,Many moons ago in my hey day I was set upon by two blokes. They both got very hurt and one needed hospital treatment. Obviously police were involved, to cut a long story short I was done for assault

I said it was self defence surely!! Apparently, self defence is defined (at that time anyway) as they can hit you once and you can hit them once

As I told the copper - Sod that! 2 against 1 I’m hitting till they stop! I was bound over for 12 months and fined £50
bet you thought it was worth it though, I would have,as I said if someone has a go at me and I get the upper hand and beat the crap out of them I would be on a high for at least two weeks knowing I taught the aggressor a lesson

Shoulda just run over his bike. There’s several reasons for this. It doesn’t take any effort on your part, it teaches the [zb] a lesson, he won’t be catching you up anytime soon and it would be, well, fun to see the look on his face.
Some of these idiots need a slap, what about that little babe covered in broken glass a couple of days ago in Croydon, cyclist smashed glass with cycle lock.
I had exactly the same in park lane London, all I did was ask a cyclist to use the cycle lane[and I was polite]next thing was a load of abuse and further up my blind spot mirror being taken out by his padlock,i was driving for sainsburys at the time as an agency driving a 24 tonner so could not chase him as he cycled away, also got dropped as I was told I am representing the company and they did not want drivers like me, usual blah blah blah
Haha you lot are like kids.
I will post the video after I have worked out how to get my motor in the shot so it can be sold on fleabay for a few hundred G’s

I have, but if it goes viral then I would like to sign my name on the truck and list it on fleabay like Ronnie Pickering did LOL
Didn’t have the sound on but you seemed to remain pretty calm considering how many times he aimed for the face. Think Idve lost it big time after the first hit, but id like to think Idve stayed in the cab and just pointed to the camera
Hmmm. I don’t think I’d have been as restrained if he started swinging punches at me like that.
Have you had any comeback from the old bill or your company about this yet?

errrr your quite a big bloke so if we’ve had a falling out on here in the past I apologise profusely!
Fair play to you though for posting the proof rather than some of the similar stuff ive read on here in the past only for the OP to give it “i cant release it because of any potential court case but I will when I can” only for it to mysteriously never materialise

This one is a motorcyclist but I find it amazing he can kick a car and then after getting his head kicked in shout “its all on camera”. To me it highlights the lengths that some people think they can go just because they have a camera strapped to their head.
Still waiting for the cops to come, had to ring them to remind them.
My boss just called me stupid for not battering the little fokkkker. But they are now going to get dashcams for each vehicle so get ready for an influx of videos as we have a bunch of crazy drivers.
I am fine by the way, he hits like a girl
Ultimate respect for posting that, bruv!
Looks plain to all that you were always in perfect control of the stroppy little twerp. I think he got off very lightly, and it says a huge amount about your powers of self-restraint - considering that you could have torn him limb from limb!
Also, very astute of you to drag him round into your cams field of vision. Make sure his assault charge sticks, and i
ll send you a case of beers!!
