When are you ok to drive a hgv-lgv?

If you went to the airport to catch a flight and you were to see the pilot or co-pilot sitting in the cockpit with his name in the window I bet you would think it strange, infact I bet you would think twice about putting your life in his hands…but if you look at the number of drivers who do the same thing does it not make you think I wonder how safe the road are.I am sure no way would the powers that be would let that plane take off until that pilot had a check up from the neck up…

About 20 to six, PM.

I don’t have a name plate in my windscreen, others do, but since it does not detrimentally affect me or anybody else in the slightest, I try not to have sanctimonious and holier-than-thou opinions about it.

FFS !!! can a mod not ban this ■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■■ and his infatuation with names in the window

a bit early to be on the pop already lad?

He,s a tool mate, i reckon he went home early and caught BIG DAVE banging his missus and ever since has had a thing about nameplates in truck windscreens

Two name plates in one window oh the shame.
I don’t care what you think, ■■■■■■■

A bizarre comment there. A pilot is a pilot and a truck driver is a truck driver!

Some people can develop very odd OCD symptoms.

I like pop:lol::grin:

Goldilox:

The 2 are very similar, pilots crash into the side of mountains, truck drivers crash into bridges etc:grin::mrgreen:

As long as the pilots name wasn’t andreas lubitz it wouldn’t bother me at all. Also you would have to be about 30ft tall to see it in the window.

gripper1:

Yes,because putting a plate with a name on it in the window is a recipe for disaster. A hooligan behind the wheel. Someone who is going to kill someone one day. How do these guys get licenses? They are an obvious menace. Your right gripper,THIS is the reason the roads are so bad and truck drivers have a bad name. You’ve hit the nail on the head here son.

GRIPPER1 FOR PM
:unamused:

I would never get in a truck driven by a ginger.

Seeing a tipper on the back worries me when it comes to my safety more than a numberplate with the drivers name on in the window.

I’m starting to wonder if gripper is really Mr I Amaknobclarkson :unamused:

You know what we think anyway

Yet again the troll is on one again. It must be hgv envy.

I agree. If anything, a nameplate in the windscreen is a reasurring sign that the man behind the wheel is a proper driver capable of securing a proper job for himself and not just some cab hopping unemployable agency muppet.

Woah hang on don’t forget certain agency muppits can demand the use of their own truck

gripper 1 has a problem with name plates in windows, contraflow obviously has a real problem with agency drivers, lets face it that’s all he ever mentions when posting or replying, obviously like gripper 1 ,an obsession
