Wheel odometers on trailers

Refering to the recent jailing of Boyles transport directors, the report stated the tacho distances and readings on the trailers did not match up,to gather evidence, over a long period, did VOSA write down the mileage when the trucks pulled in to a MSA on a break.Did the bosses throw away the tacho machines to get rid of evidence? It seems the drivers have got off lightly, and an email was used,to say a driver was not happy risking his life and other road users to make the firm a profit, one was asked to one hit it from Calais to Frankfarter.

They can use any evidence they can find to prove a conviction, from timesheets, weighbridge tickets, computerised delivery notes or gatehouse logs. Hubometers are just an extension of this.

Crime and cant do time comes to mind :stuck_out_tongue:

Heard the Spanish were clamping down on magnets while tipping, the Guardia Civils watching factories with binoculars apparently,i would want not to drive for Boyles going through the Basque land,Austria or Germany, the ■■■ cheeks would be clenching all the time.I ran thru Austria with no go box,the boss did not put money in my bank to get anything, ran passed the Brenner with the barrier up,how i not got banged up for the night in the cell was a miracle.

why would you use a magnet while tipping toby? surely its for when you’re driving not sitting on a bay
the GC have better things to do than watch drivers through binoculars, there’s plenty of other ways to catch those that “do a bit”
