That’s the good thing about being payed salary, I get paid the same whether I’m there or not.
Most people will finish on Thursday, a couple will be out Friday but finished by mid-day. I’m hoping for a Thursday finish.
I’ve been finished since fri 15/12 
If I had my own way, I’d work through it.
But 3 young ‘uns waiting for daddy to get home in time for the jolly old fat ■■■■■■■ to arrive means a Fri/Sat finish for me…
Since I started Sunday morning this week, I thought I would be done by Thursday night…wrong!
Now planned into my 6th day!
And a 0500 AM delivery to Cardiff planned for the 2nd Jan, that means I will be back on the 1st Jan…ho hum.
I’ve got today off, then I’m on though until the 30th. Hoping for a quiet one on Xmas day, I think I’m the only one working after 6pm (breakdown recovery).
I’ll be workin Xmas eve night and into Xmas day morning, I’ve just started with a firm and there is a Panto being loaded out of Birmingham from 4pm Sunday afternoon and trailers need running down south.
Told the wife I will probably be home by the time the kids gets up, knowing my luck, the brown stuff will hit the spinning thing and I’ll be in later than advised!

Well it’s still Friday at the moment but I was chatting to one of the planners and he said there’s not much on for Friday at all so early start then early dart hopefully.

Night shift Saturday night…finish around midday on Christmas Eve.
Sunday night off…but back in on Christmas day night at 23.00 for shop deliveries on Boxing Day morning

Last Monday, Came home from work with a broken foot, Now stuck in house with mother in law visiting till new year.

So tomorrow is the last Friday before Christmas, is it safe to assume that every Tang will be flicking the “ferry switch” and keeping it flat to the mat?

Finished Wednesday afternoon, back on the 2nd. My third year of not working over Xmas and getting used to it.
I used to work everyday possible over the period but my kids are getting a bit older and I look forward to putting toys together and driving to the garage to get even more batteries!! Double or triple time or days off in lieu will never be enough to cover those memories.

How very true. I have so many regrets always working over xmas with family at home. My kids are all older now and now i never work xmas…
