What's your E-bay status?

I’ve just put my car on E-bay and my status is 47 transactions and 100% , so I was wondering what’s your status ?

280/100%

Sold my last car on ebay for £285, five years after I bought it for £300. Bought my current car on ebay, had that seven years now. I mostly buy stuff rather than selling though.

I am at 67/100%
never sold anything on there though

65 100% positive.

I’ve bought and sold on eBay but bought more times than I’ve sold.

On a side note I’ve just notice that eBay has a new favicon, never noticed the shopping bag before.

100% 191 feedback rating …whatever that means?? i buy more than i sell, sooooooooooooooo whose doing all the selling■■?

255 100%

564/100%

150 and 100% most recent things bought

  1. mondeo tdci actuator
  2. rachet straps
  3. transit recovery truck

0% I sold a load of gear on there when I was 16 and didn’t pay my selling fees so I haven’t been allowed back since

My personal account is 660/100% (member since April 1999, 13.5 years!), the account I use for my online business is 342/100% (only been a member for 5 years though and only really active for the last 2).

826 / 100%. But im having a hard time with their seller ratings bullshine at the moment. :unamused:
My seller ratings were all 5 outa 5 until my mrs sold a cheap horses saddle for about 24 quid. She described it as old and scruffy and also took loads of pictures of the bloody thing but it was still perfectably useable. Bear in mind a new saddle can cost upwards of a couple of grand or more.
Cut a long story short, the stupid trout that bought it tried to say it was not as described as it had “some rust on a buckle” FFS!!!
What did she expect for 24 ■■■■■■■ quid■■? :imp: :imp:

Because of that one stupid ■■■■■ my seller ratings are down to 4.8 :imp:
Abit of unfair system in my view.

Another thing that grates my ■■■■ is the fact that i price the postage of stuff i sell to within about 10 pence of the actual cost, sometimes leaving ME out of pocket and you still get marked down on PP costs by tossers :imp: :imp:

So many dam messers on ebay i tell ya.

Tell me about it. I had someone leave me a 1 or a 2 on the star ratings things (don’t know who or which, it just tells me I have 1 low rating for them) but all the actual feedback comments are positive and glowing, so someone must have left me a really nice feedback comment and then only scored me a 2 on postage charges, dispatch time and communication!

You only need to get 2 or 3 of those in a year and you lose your top rated seller status too… Thankfully I’ve only had the one so far.

I charge a flat rate for postage (£2.50) regardless of what people buy. 9 orders out of 10 are over 25mm thick and so end up going as a packet so even second class signed for that works out at £3.15 and yet still some people are only giving me 4 stars for postage charges.

I had one negative about 3 years ago - I listed and sold an Astra van, which we had started our business with. It had gone bang on a journey back from Cambridge, and although it would start and run, it had a clattering noise from it, which got worse as you revved it. It also had oil running down the front of the engine, and two snapped rockers. We tried changing the rockers, but no joy, so listed it in ebay with the full story and details, as spares or repair.

Some bloke from Newhaven bought it, and came to collect it. A couple of days later I got an angry message from him - he had assumed that the cylinder head had cracked, and when he looked at it, it was a broken con rod which had gone through the block. As a result he wanted his money back! I offered him £50 as a goodwill gesture, but he refused and lodged a complaint with ebay. They came back very quickly and found in my favour, as I had described it accurately, and he had made an assumption. However, they wouldn’t remove the negative which this muppet had left.

As it was a while ago, this has now dropped off, but it ■■■■■■ me off for a while that I no longer had 100%.

Know exactly where ya coming from, Paul.
This isnt ‘new’ behaviour either. Couple of years back I had all ratings at 5 out of 5 for a good while. I sold something and the rating for P&P went down overnite to 3 out of 5 or summin like that. I knew right away who it was obviously and was so incensed i sent this guy an email.
I pointed out that I had to put about a quid of my money toward the cost of his P&P and so asked this ■■■■ why he marked me down?
His answer was that he was marking down because of the general cost of postage in general, no reflection on me! WTF?
My conclusion was that he was either a lying ■■■■ or abit thick

Yeah, typical ebay messer mate, 24 carrot!
Atleast ebay took your side as they should have.

802 and 100%

2145 / 100%

with seller ratings of 4.8 or 4.9

I sell loads of stuff on it, mostly kids clothes and shoes which seem to get outgrown at an alarming rate. Mrs 8w loves shopping and usually gets stuff in the sales or at knock down prices. We’ve sold stuff after they’ve worn it and got our money back and occasionally even turned a profit. I’ll charity shop anything that’s not good enough to sell, although I’ve sold a few tatty bits and pieces but described them well.

Never had any major issues, a few things where the buyer was disappointed but I’ve always resolved it and usually just given them their money back. I like to treat people as I’d like to be treated myself.
