They are, it isn’t Dutch people or even Belgians doing it

more like someone from a little further east

dont worry they just missed the eurolines bus, it wont happen again

On the stretch between Eindhoven and the border at Venlo this isn’t a new thing, They have been giving out warnings of gangs targeting trucks along there for at least 10 years. I lost the battery box cover off a Volvo years ago in Asten truckstop. went for a shower and when I came back the cover was gone, as was the English driver who had been parked next to me in his Volvo for most of the day and who did not have a battery box cover. :imp: :smiling_imp: :stuck_out_tongue:

Not east but west. Vehicle wasn’t sign written but drivers accent was West Midlands.

Probably Black country but they all sound the same . . dont they

I always thought Venlo and that area was a bit rough and that was before all the communists showed up.
What can you do?
Al

and i’m going that way monday again…thing is once you you get to Germany and the gestapo are in charge you are safer…lol

According to Transport Online .nl,south east Holland is a hot spot for curtain slashers, particularly around Venlo,Eindhoven and Heerlen.
The worst places for vehicle theft, with or without a load,is Rotterdam,Amsterdam and Eindhoven.

Some years ago I used to stop for a 45 at the De Lutte border (Oldenzaal) on a regular run down from Sweden,it was just 4,5hrs to there from Travemunde, and,at the time, there was a spate of spare wheels going missing from trailers.
One night I arrived there to find the German and Dutch police having a field day. They’d caught four Poles with two old vans loaded with spare wheels which they couldn’t account for.
