What’s the blue box for, at rear of trailer? Is it to raise trailer axles to reduce tyre wear?
Just thought I’d ask you lot before curiosity kills the cat

We have boxes like that at the front of our trailers that will give you axle load information. Might also be the diagnostics box/ecu on other trailers as they are often hidden near the back

That box is the electronic gubbins for self levelling the suspension and you can also manually adjust it if required, for example sticking it on a bay when it’s fully loaded and the rear is riding high.
Probably has other uses like reading error codes for the suspension maybe too.

That little box also stores historic error code information that is sometimes used to confuse the cab when you hook up the ABS line I believe. It then lights up your dash with pretty little lights telling you that you have problems that don’t actually exist. A mechanic showed me how to reset and clear the error logs once, but I’ve since forgotten how.

I picked up a trailer, did a tug test twice, pulled said trailer round the yard, backed it onto bay and opened the doors to be greeted by one pallet that had lent itself over against the doors and promptly boxes jumped out the back in a rage attack at me, who says goods don’t argue back lol
But then again I assume you already knew all of that didn’t you? I thought you might have spilt the beans but you haven’t. Or the chocolate in this case lol

Maybe a little casual on my part yes, however bad pallet with hardly and wrap and not even wrapped around the pallet, trailer tilted on 5th wheel (tug 5th wheel) and a couple of sharp movements, then what else is going to happen, oh yeah and no restraint bar in either. So partially my fault I guess but also the fault of the morons who loaded it.
