Coming from a different angle, for me it’s the M6-M74 between lancaster and Glasgow. Dead boring. 3 hrs of my life I’ll never get back every time I use it
most scenic though!
It’s just trees and sheep. The A1 side is better. It’s nice running the coastline at berwick

We will all be dead and buried before that is a motorway.

Of course your entitled to your opinion but i struggle to understand it, i’d much rather drive on miles and miles of pretyy much empty motorway than sit on the 62 for example through them roadworks every time, the a1 is a nice route home but again if you get stuck behind some prat doing 40 that to can become very boring.

How can anyone get bored through that beautiful countryside?! I love driving up that road.

That was just an example of why i use the A1 and not the M6

I love the 62, different elevations, fields, res’s, cities/towns, hills, sheep, its such a diverse landscape. I admit it’s gash through the roadworks (hopefully it wont be like that forever) and I also don’t tend to be on it after 8am to 12pm and usually off it by 4pm, so don’t really get the traffic.
M11 is boring, I quite like the m25 around Dartford not too keen on the m6 or the m4.
I don’t like the section of the M60 near its junctions with the M61 ( That the top left of Manchester for Southerners)
The lanes get very narrow as there suddenly becomes more of them at the same time the curves get tighter. There is a lot of lane changing going on as people are trying to decide which route they really want to take.
You have to watch out for last minute interlopers.
Everyday junction 15 Stoke on Trent makes the radio traffic bulletins, look at the slip road on the north and south exits or entrances, they are too short,no distance for acceleration.
Well obviously, currently it’s the M4 near Bristol where people seem to want to have an accident in the roadworks section judging by the number of times it comes up in traffic reports, though luckily I seem to have missed most of them. In general though, anywhere on the M25.

Plus imho none of the motorways this side of the channel are long enough to get bored on.
By the time you’re comfy in the seat you’re off the other end
Dictionary corner
Stretch - A continuous or unbroken length, area, or expanse.
All roads beginning with M are motorways (M1, M2, M4, M5) and seem to be unbroken.
Not sure about the worst, but the best for me is the bit on the M6 just a couple of miles south of J38 with the hills beside you and where you sometimes loose your radio reception. I just love the scenery at that bit. Gets me every time that bit.
for me lately its been the M25 between 9-14 such a boring stretch and there’s always traffic apart from that I’m only running from Erith to Docklands and Dartford
Dan Punchard:
The concrete M42 is the most bumpy and there are too many cars doing 52 hogging the middle lane when variable limit shows 60 ,if it said 70 they’d do 80!
The M62 t’ween M6 & M60 - now thats bumpy! it’s like the efin Grand National !!

Exactly, try some of ther German or French motorways, straight flat lines for hundreds of km. now they can get boring.
