you have attempted in the UK and Euro zone that you never wish to see again going up or down
Mont Blanc used to be quite a climb before the motorways were finished and in the days of 320hp trucks but I still used to love it.
I quite like a challenging hill. I think some of the worst snatches were probably using the old A52 / A523 Ashbourne to Leek but I was only a pup then and the boss thought more than 220hp was spoiling us
Not far from the derry Iām sure thereās a 1:3 hill. that sorts out the men from the boys
i remember that there a hill near bridlington that really changeling

There is a hill on an S bend just after a low bridge In Dewsbury just along from Tarmac Trupac. NOT fun when you got 28t of stones on and itās raining. Weāre talking lower than 6th to get up it and mid lift dumped. Gearbox used to sound like it was about to go pop haha

iāv made the mistake of attempting going up that hill fully freighted, was down into ist gear to get over the top lol
Somo Sierra on the national one North of Madrid.Brake fade going down.
When we were given running money for Italy we used to use Montgenevre instead of the Frejus in summer.Gradient was 1in5 for miles,ok as long as the timber lorries didnāt balk you, lovely view but snow fromOct toApril.Anyone got photos?Stopped when we went ālegitā,drew Frejus tickets in Dover and boss wouldnāt pay us extra to use Montgenevre and save `Ā£180 a trip,so sod him!!
sutton bank on the A170 has got to be a contender , in this country at least
fish hill nr evesham in the old days ā¦not too good even now
Porlock Hill must be in there.
Birdlip seems to catch many out, but gives me chance to nip past and round the roundabout
how about birk brow just outside guisborough when you are heading for whitby seen many a lorry stuck on there.
Not because of itās steepness but-
The Fern-Pass in winter in the dark, for the first time.
I would guess the IP5 in Portugal is one of the worst, Spain and Portugal have a lot of very long hills at 7% or more, they are not to bad with a retarder, but exhaust brakes when fully freighted were always a real worry, N121a, A15 (ski Slope), San Miguel (N1) were all bad coming down towards the french border, the steps into the wicker village south of Bejar (N630) was another bad hill, but is by passed now.
Greese has some bad ones as well, not helped by the marble used in road construction making then treacherous in the wet
Went down one last week out in the sticks near Whitby in a Mitsubishi Canter (=no brakes) with a dead Shogun on the back (=less than no brakes), as I approached the top a bit quickly the sign said 33%, being old school I quickly tried the mental arithmetic and worked it out as ābugger, it aint gonna stopā!
