What's the road number and location? SOLVED BY plannerman

This road cuts directly through the country estate of an old prominent Prime Minister… QUESTION IS :- What’s the road number and location (or nearest junctions)?.. And to really show off the scope of your knowledge who was the Prime Minister who once owned the land?

Addendum :- Photo added after question was solved - here’s the road in the making, when we were both nubbut lads gardun!

A55 between junction`s 10 & 11

could it have been David Lloyd George 1863-1945 a Manchester lad that lived in Criccieth, liked to speak Whelsh and once had a meeting with Hitler

Cheers nianiamh - Correct it is the A55 although not between the junctions you suggest - have another look at the piccy.

Cheers Colin, sorry but not Lloyd-George - but a Politician of similar ilk who was Premier on no less than 4 occasions!

Give it another rethink guys.

Cheers - R.

Is it the hill on the A55, between 35A and 35 (Broughton to Hawarden).
WE Gladstone was the Prime Minister from 1868-74, 1880-5, 1886 and 1892-4. He lived (and died) at Hawarden Castle.

A fully comprehensive and correct answer plannerman! Well Spotted! - The piccy was taken off the footbridge over the A55 between J35 (Dobshill) and J35A - Broughton. Looking towards the Cheshire hills. The A55 cutting at this point was made directly through Hawarden Park which still owned by the descendants of W E Gladstone. A born Scouser with Scottish roots who lived in Wales!

Thanks for your participation guys!

erm… some of the credit goes to wikipedia  I recognised the road straight away though

Didn’t look like that when I grew up there. I remember them building the A55 at Broughton - just behind our house when I were a lad
