Just went under a low bridge (in my car).
100 yards before the bridge was a triangular sign saying 15’6 bridge ahead.
Then on the bridge itself was a circular sign saying 15’5.
Why not just put all signs at one height??

The triangular warns of the bridge height the circular gives the height limit restriction. Passing the triangular with a 15’5 height one might think all would be ok, seeing the circular would add another level of twitching to ones ringpeice.
Like 30mph circular, you can do 30 but not 31.
So 15’6 would be to high or would it, oh kak I have no idea.
Yep signs are daft…
The triangular sign is a warning, 15’6 bridge ahead. The circular sign is a prohibition, nothing over 15’5 past this point. Nothing wrong with an extra inch, just to make sure.
