Was with another driver today and in the passenger seat so wont be my fine. We were coming back up A23 from brighton and passed a hgv outside lane ban sign at bottom of hill just before the weighbridge. Not really paying attention as i was reading paper but driver pulled out to overtake a loaded truck right at the top, where the police were standing waiting. We both quite clearly saw plod pull his pad out and note registration of truck. Driver was truly oblivious to the ban and there is only 1 sign that is used when weighbridge is in use, no defence i know. Whats he looking at?

Probably get a NIP for a £60 fine, of course you could go back and put a black bin liner over the sign and plead ignorance as the sign was obscured (Take a photo )
