The TomTom 1005 is good mate, a little pricey but definitely worth it. It’s VERY clear on it’s instructions.

thank you guys for all your advice, ill keep it all in mind, apprecate it
hey guys just bein on ebay the snooper s7000 truckmate £400 and £500 new, knew they were pricey anyway, but there were 5 used ones for £150 which i thought was brill, look like in good nick by the pics, seriously thinking bout one of those!
I have the Snooper S7000,the tv is very good, good picture, and comes with a very long aerial lead, you have to retune the tv when you stop in different areas,it takes a few seconds.
You can put 16 drops in the multi drop part,so need to fiddle around when you leave from one drop to the next.
It seems very strong and well built, not flimsey.
I bought a computer bag for it,as i take it with me if i leave the cab for a long time.
It does play up sometimes and have a funny five minutes, like sending me down a small lane where there is no room.
Active traffic updates,i have warnings of floods, buildings on fire, road closures and diversions will flash up,it is worth the money,i paid £460 for mine.
I bought this sat nav off ebay Item number: 250924468378
I can honestly say it is excellent.
You can add the dimensions of mutiple trucks and save them (including hieght) and it will route you around any problems.
I have been using mine daily now for two months in my 13.6 high rigid on multi drop and it has not yet sent me the wrong way or into a hazzard.
It has full post code search our address down to the house number and with a nice big 7" screen and free sun shroud i find it ideal.
I never usually reccomend ebay buys as i’ve had some crap off there but this i can recommend.
you could look at there feedback and email a few of there customers for there thoughts on if the unit is any good, most people will reply.
