What's a "compliance bonus"?

From an ad for class 1 trampers:

  1. Compliance bonus of £20
    [/quote]
, on top of the 25 per night out. I don’t remember seeing this before, anyone know what it is?

indeed.co.uk/viewjob?cmp=To … iver&vjs=3

Feel free to apply btw, I’m not qualified to do it

At a guess I’d say it’s £20 for no infringements

That would be my guess, too, but…what about a no-accident bonus as well :unamused:

Compliance in this case probably relates to your willingness to bend over and get dry shafted with a smile on your face whilst uttering “thank you Sir, can I have more please Sir” on a regular basis.

plus its a more acceptable description than just saying theyre looking for fannys.

Who else has “WTD Infringements” as the only type they ever get?

…You’re on duty 6hrs and 1minute, have been stuck on stop-start traffic on the motorway for the past hour, having originally been only 15 minutes out from base…

Parking up on the hard shoulder (if there IS one!) is illegal for break-taking purposes, so you’re kinda stuck for getting this particular type of infringement on a regular basis pretty quickly eh? :frowning: :frowning:

I don’t.

But they’d be just the same as driving time infringements in the sense that an unforeseen delay has meant you’ve done 4h 31m driving to get to somewhere safe and legal so youd just do a printout. You still get the infringement you’ve just explained why on the back of a printout which would get the same for WTD.

Not that anyone other than compliance managers give a toss about it.

No. I’ve got just one on this card since I got it three years ago and I was 45 minutes from base with 2hrs left when somebody decided to have a M62 closing accident and due to the fact that all alternative routes were rammed due to it happening at teatime rush hour as were all parking places I ended up going over. However if I’m doing runs where I know there is a high likelihood of something happening I factor in an extra break.

If you’re getting it pretty regularly for the above scenario then at what point does it become your fault for not planning for something you know you experience on a regular basis?

And as for going over in such a scenario that’s what print outs are for.

Sounds like an employer who will give you bit more for not getting infringements and driving the truck economically

Your skill as a driver with these employers is usually irrelavant, wrecking the fleet and leaving trucks in a ■■■■ state with no fuel or adblu is regarded as the norm after a period of usually around 12 months you are expected to suddenly suffer from an imaginary ailment which prevents you from doing more than one drop and working weekends like everyone else.

This is all fully supported by the above employer as long as you don’t rag the truck or get any infringements all in the name of “compliance”

Does this make 0.0 sense to anyone else or am I having a slow day

I know exactly what Mike68 means, and i’ve had to work at the same places as these pointless winging incompetent snowflakes and seen them in action…eventually the company goes out of business or hands the transport over to one of the usual bodgit and scarper mobs, where there’s even more of them waiting in the wings :unamused:

Note if the boss or manager there has ever uttered the immortal phrase ‘‘i can drivers ten a penny’’, pound to that penny if it wasn’t like the above already its on its way there at full pelt  yes you can get licence holders ten a penny but it’ll cost you far more than employing the right standard of lorry driver in the first place, not just in damage either.

IT will be something you never get because they have invented 100 ways of not being compliant.

Yeh, it would be nice if we all got a bonus based on “how cheaply we run the truck” overall.

What with all these “fuel efficiency” things and “Eco Roll”…

Looking more closely, it could be something added on by the agency for not getting infringements or turning up on time. Saves then a load of paperwork being sent back and forth if you don’t get infringements.

■■■ me, so much superfluous ■■■■■■ to being a driver nowadays. Glad I was able to get out when the writing on the wall was getting more numerous but no clearer.
