What ....

would you say that the average weight of an artic is?

what…loaded?.. sand?. 26 pallets of wine?..cardboard boxes?..running empty?empty…triaxle trailer…tandem trailer…4x2 unit???what?

just a 4x2, no load

with a 4.2m curtainsider trailer, approx 15.5 tonnes

a 6x2 DAF XF superspace with a 4.2m curtainsider weights approx 17.25 tonnes

it also depends on what cab you want it weighed with

a low roof renault premium will weigh considerably less than a DAF XF Superspace

just a 4x2 unit on its own, no trailer

what unit?

as previously said, a low roof premium will weigh less than a DAF XF superspace or a V8 topline scania

OK, let’s say a DAF XF superspace

7.6 tonne, give or take a bit. If you go here: http://www.daf.com/EN/Products/Product-Specification-sheets/Pages/Spec-sheets.aspx you can download pdfs with the spec of the each model in the DAF range.

My guess, about seven and a half tonne…

As others have said it depends on the model and spec but for a 4x2 unit you’re looking at anywhere between about 6500 and 8000kg I would think.
