What would you like to ask Sally Traffic?

I’m interviewing Sally ‘Traffic’ Boazman tomorrow night over fish ‘n’ chips and a couple of bottles of wine for a story in Truck & Driver. I was wondering if anyone had any questions they wanted me to ask on thier behalf.

Not T&D related, but ask her if she can get Bill more air time on the BBC!! (She will know who you mean)

Ask her if she likes bikers yet

Also - what are her views on the general driving standards of truck drivers especially in London

Ask her where that soapy photo of her having a bath has gone? I am sure it was on the website

Excellent opportunity Will.I would like you to ask Sally to compile a weekly/monthly list of roll-overs ,where and maybe when, which you can then print in T&D.On a rcent trip up from Dover to the M25 she had read out 3 in that short journey. You could then furher investigate rollovers as a T&D feature, which I believe the authorities don’t do,and perhaps on this site and your mag you could educate drivers on how to keep the vehicle in an upright manner. And it isn’t always speed.

When reading out traffic reports especially when it’s raining outside could she REMIND drivers that they need their HEADLIGHTS on and NOT sidelights. Also rear fogs are not necessary unless it’s foggy…they dazzle in the rain!!! - I’ll not mention front fogs :unamused:

Brilliant, keep them coming. These are some great suggestions.
I promise I’ll tell her who asked the questions, and won’t claim them as my own!
Sorry, but I think I might pass on the soapy bath question!

Don’t forget the safety gap which should be about 4 seconds in heavy rain not 4 inches :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp:

Has she ever driven or been a passenger in a truck on a busy public highway or in a city centre

Has she ever taken, or considered taking, any further driver training since she passed her Basic test

Did her original driver training cover what large vehicles may do in particular situations

i cant believe red blooded blokes really want to ask sally the questions above[ assuming shes as fit looking as her voice suggests, never seen a pic of her], id of thought the only question would be MY place or YOURS

ADY1 Will beat me to it,a nice pic of her and she has greatly improved since Truckfest several years ago, must be the big BBC salary.

Ady…another one for you mate

In the same vein as the fog lights/ side lights post Will, could you ask her to remind people not to hog the middle lane, a bit petty I know but it’s one of my pet hates :imp:

Will, you could also ask her if the Beeb have ever considered a dedicated traffic channel. The French have one on 107.7 playing music with regular updates on traffic conditions in the area that is local to where you are.Expect Beeb would not want to lose listeners from the awful Radio 2.Radio 4 rules.

The Sally Traffic radio show :bulb: traffic and travel reports all day from around all of the UK with regular info & updates from the local BBC stations - driving type music between reports…

Just when I thought this could be interesting it turns out that she’s not an 18 year old being given work experience to prepare her for a life as a wife and mother. What can you expect from the PC BBC.

now theres a recommendation :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

can you ask her if she can start a campaign to raise the standard of facilities at all service stations and truck stops as some that you go to are disgusting and a woman fight our corner for us “hairy arsed neanderthals” might get something done (but i doubt it)

or ask her if she wants a week away doing theatre work! i’ll even buy her a coffee :open_mouth:

hiya,
If i was a million years younger i’d ask her out.
thanks harry long retired.

could she include in her traffic report where vosa are hiding or which checkpoints are open that day?..sorry that will definetley need a dedicated slot of its own :grimacing: :grimacing:
