No blindside refers to an artic when you literally cannot see that side when manoeuvring. Rigids don’t have a blind side as you can always see down the side
dri-diddly-iver:
I’ve been driving a bit longer than you and a blind side is where you reverse to your nearside and the trailer blocks your vision totally!
Also…I don’t like conor
I have not been driving C+E long but long enough to know what a blind side is… and I have spent plenty of time worrying about them .
I just thought it was a bit harsh to jump on an obviously well meaning post.

Which is worse Tesco Hatfield or Boots Beeston? Anyone been to both?

I’d say Boots, depending on how busy they are. Do them both fairly regularly
The daft thing about Boots is, they use the first set of bays (where it’s tightest) for artics, and then tip the rigids further down. If they alternated the bays, then it’d be a damned sight easier to get in.
With Hatfield, it’d be a bonus if they had an audible intercom, so that the goods in folk could hear your reference number, so that you don’t have to “park up on the left and bring your paperwork into the office” which leaves units poking out all over the place

Can’t imagine anything much worse than Hatfield, if it was any tighter I would of given up and stuck it on another bay then told them to lump it or like it - I think they gave me the worse bay that they had.
Just tried to find it on Google Earth, but not sure I had the right postcode (someone else may be able to find a pic)
But basically, it’s pretty much impossible to get on a bay without mounting the kerb, and sticking your nose into the bushes/flower beds opposite, and the bays are so close together that you can’t open or close your back doors. Has to be done before you start backing on. First time I went I’d only been on class one for a few days (was definitely in my first week) and some steaming great berk had left his unit on the skunt. I’ve been back loads of times since, and it doesn’t get any easier.
I’m at Hatfield now, on in ONE [emoji14]

Ha, bet you’re only telling us 'cos no one was around to actually witness it.
Four or five fellas in the waiting room. I was in so quick they probably didn’t notice.
Yeah, that’s what my Missus often says.
