What was this numpty thinking of!

At the roadworks on the A1 in North Yorks,

thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/1 … shambles_/

The mind boggles :open_mouth:

That’s disgraceful, didn’t the truck driver see there was a car parked there? :unamused:

:open_mouth: Oops what was the car driver thinking - it’s not even as if it was close!

And we share the roads with that.

Agency driver on his assessment? :open_mouth:

“The shocked driver still at the wheel”

Surely The “Shocking” driver would be more apt?

Maybe there should have been a line of chains hanging above the road before the crane leg to warn corsa drivers that they are too high to fit under?

Just your average dolly bastart. UK has ■■■■■■■ millions of them on the roads.

Feel sorry for the chap that was on his way to get married

A 2.8t stabilizer pad? That must be one big-■■■ crane! :open_mouth:

Looking at the front bumper is it actually the aftermath of another accident rather than some twerp trying to drive under a crane outrigger.

Probably saved a few pennies, dodged a bullet etc

Just find a women you hate and buy her a house etc etc

It’s a fair effort they nearly made it under

well at least the car driver kept his head in the incident

For those of us old enough to remember this looks like a shti remake of the car park scene in The Driver [emoji57]

I thought that he probably gave the pad a glancing blow on the way to getting wedged :unamused:

But what was he thinking.

I was heading up to Newcastle this morning, came of the A1M at Dishforth about 4.30 to head on up the 19, but I was surprised about the amount of wagons that stayed on the A1M even though it was saying it closed at 50, unless they knew something I didnt

Then where the 684 joined the 19 from Northallerton, a lot of trucks joined the north bound 19, again this had Me wondering if guys had took a chance on the A1 being open only to find its still shut(as the matrix board said), seems a lot of mucking about to take on a chance
