T M Bedford with a narrow cab and a Bedford 500 cubic inch engine, pulling a 30 foot trailer.
I would have hated to put 15 tons on the back, it would have killed it !

It felt like the launch pad at Kennedy Space Centre , when you got up into the cab.
Almost searching for an oxygen mask !

daycab,windows all round it and a 20 foot flat trailer…4 lessons,then passed my test.
i thought it was a doddle,but my back was aching on the way back and the sweat was pouring down me bum cheeks,alls well that ends well. :slight_smile:

and you can work on the engine without tilting the cab, or getting back ache bending over the front wheels !

Passed test in 1993 in a 2015 cargo with a 20ft single axle flat trailer. Was with Drivewell at Darlington.
