^^^^^^^ Tango Boy, did i follow you out of Jct 23 truckstop last week and head south down the M1■■ Are you quite an elderly gentleman and where a scarf whilst driving??

no m8 sorry. that was chris emerson in the blackpool tram lol.

 you know what, i did actually think at the time it must of been the guvnour, just everything about him, the bowler hat, the scarf etc i didnt think yours had all the lights on either. Nice trucks.

Thank you  He isnt the boss, just a brother of the bosses. He had a payout years ago, he has operated trucks of his own but drives one of ours now. All the lights and other stuff he’s put on himself. Bless him. We’ll be at Truckfest again :sunglasses:    Oh by the way he runs the grain side of things

Whatever they give me…never a dull shift… :grimacing:

550 MERC actros 61 plate

^^I drive that at the moment. Looks nice enough but to be honest apart from the size of the cab its nothing more than a 25 year old ERF with a big cab.

Last year I did a few months in the UK and had an MAN and really quite liked that and the year before had a Premium 460 for a few weeks on tipper work and while the cab was horribly small inside, I found it to be a very good truck for pulling at full weight, certainly a lot better than my American shed at the moment.

It’s been all Daf LF 55s since going on the agency. Driven 220s and 210s for Fresh Direct and a 180 for Warburtons. All have 6spd 'boxes but the 180 and 210s are quite noisy, the 180 doesn’t sit well at 40 in 6th and revs out of the green band in 5th. Nice to drive even though they’re basic fleet spec.

+1^^

And me… a different one every day too :frowning:. Some people drive/live in filth… first 10 minutes of every shift is dedicated to ‘cab hygiene’.

Apologies for the terrible quality of the picture…

DonutUK:

Was piloting this during the last week…may or may not be my regular truck.

Quite enjoyed driving it, although felt a bit underpowered when heavily loaded…my major gripe is the lack of space inside!
Really struggled to find places to put everything for a week out…and the bunk felt small compared to the FH i used to drive.

Might see if i can get one of the XF’s.

Had another one of these this week…stick by my original opinion…nice to drive, bugger all space to live in.

Should have had a XF, but some git had taken it before i got in! :imp:

61 plate XL 460 i-shift, this was mine, i now drive the sister motor (both gutless)

At the moment im in a 05 plate 95 xf 430 ssc

It was a Daf LF 180 with auto today. Lovely little thing for stop start bread deliveries around Rushden and Newport Pagnell.

Pic been played with on iPad apps!

I got a 2010 Frieghtliner Cascadia love the space in it and dont feel like I have done 11hrs straight drive in it at end of the day

2011 Frieghtliner Cascadia, load of room and quite advanced compared to the dinosaurs they make over here, still prefer a Scania though.

Currently driving a Volvo FM 500 globetrotter with i-shift,very comfy truck.
