What To Expect??

Passed my class 2 when I was 19 and went straight into a removal firm and absolutely loved it!! Doing European at 20 with not a care in the world driving up and down from Hamburg to Seville it was amazing. But now I’m 24 and woke up 6 weeks ago and thought I want to do my class 1, so headed down to my local training centre, which were absolutely amazing - C.T.T.S in Bathgate Scotland! 11 days later I was sat in the seat of an artic and got the adrenaline rush and excitement I got when I first started driving hahah! Passed with 1 minor on a shunt on the reverse. Anyways, I have managed to get a start with a haulage company in Broxburn moving chills goods. I’m just looking for a little advice / pointers… I’m now pooping self knowing that I’m going to be let loose with one these monsters, I’m a confident driver - just scared!!

Dates don’t add up on your signature with what you’ve written, but hey ho I’ll play nice. You’ve already done more at your age than some guys in their sixties. The only thing you have to fear is fear itself. Dunno who wrote that but he was right, the point I’m trying to make is that driving an artic is no big deal, you’ve passed the test and therefore been judged competent, so crack on fella. The secret is ask questions, take it steady and don’t allow yourself to be forced into any situations that you’re not comfortable with.

Sorry for the ramble, late start tomorrow so have hit the Bud tonight.
