What to expect from a Tesco Assesment?

Hello

I called an agency called ADR Network today to register as a driver and they have arranged to meet me on the 30th to discuss my details with them and already the woman on the phone mentioned work with Tesco in Magor. I explained to the woman that I am 23 years old with no experience as I have only recently passed my CE test but she said that shoudn’t be a problem for Tesco. However on the agencies website it says drivers must have 6 months experience to drive for the site in Magor. So who knows. I am not going to get my hopes up just yet.

So basically if I am lucky enough to get an assesment with Tesco what should I expect?

Regards
Dave

Is it for Tesco themselves or is it driving for Stobarts out of Tesco?

Well I’m not sure to be honest from what the woman on the phone told me it was for tesco in Magor. So I am assuming its for Tesco

hi did the tesco assessment for stobarts(widnes) assume it will be similar ? had a drive about town for about 20 mins back to base where was asked to back in to a space between to trailers was raining so he did not, want to see me drop the trailer just asked me what i would do, went through a few questions ,told me i passed ,and would be going in for an interview immediately great, passed the interview started two weeks later ,great ,well not so i hated it only lasted 6 weeks was absolutely knackered was away from the house 16 hours a day some times, including travelling time, but there were drivers there thought it was great ■■ now i work mon–fri—on forklift ,and do every other Sunday for asda ,when needed, the problem for me was the little tesco expresss in the center of citys and all the temp zones and drops we had, getting those cages out, then in, then out, done my head in ,good luck no sure if its chilled stuff you will be doing or not but best if its not ,

Night is a different ball game matey ^^^

Mostly full trailer loads to the bigger extra stores. The little garages and alike have their fresh stuff during the daytime. Depends what floats your boat though.

hi ,yes i agree but when i had my interview i said to the manager …,dont have a lot of experience think i would be better on nights , no he said very busy on nights most of our stuff goes out on nights ,i still think i might have lasted a bit longer doing nights ,i liked doing the big stores more to room at the back doors and usually the full hit going in ,but how can you argue at an interview ?,better off in asda ,
