They cut the bushes! I saw it yesterday in East Kilbride.
Tell me: is it really the most important thing today, when there is so many icy roads and pavements arround? Why they don’t get a shovel and work on pavements?
And this is not a Scottish thing only, my friend is reporting similar sights from Poland…
Can anyone explain it to me? Is the cutting bushes the most important thing now
EK prob one of the only places where they are out working on the pavements well on main routes like the Queensway and Kingsway they have a mini plough and gritter which does the pavements. It usually out late at night so some of the main pavements are clear.

That’s good, so maybe after they finished with the bushes, they stayed till late and cleared the pavements.

Dont forget that they have individual budgets for individual jobs and if the money isnt spent, Central Government cuts the following years budget by this year’s underspend.
ORRRR Their jobs were allocated in May and if it says trimming bushes in January then trimming bushes it is.
Or the gaffer couldnt get in (Because of the weather) and get people on snow clearance
