Coming up to Christmas, lots of people making the most of the sales in Lakeside probably.
Lakeside wasn’t over busy.
A406 was busier than useal.

Only a problem in the morning at ferry lane.
the A12 roundabout was being resurfaced and a lorry load of bricks was shot through the headboard of a trailer just after the thurrock turn onto the bridge bringing that down to 1 lane from 4. the joys of the m25.

I thought I was being clever on Tuesday morning. Heading from Stanford Le Hope towards Guildford I heard there was a 90 min delay to get over the bridge so I headed up the A13 and onto the Woolwich Ferry. Ooops, they are doing maintenance work on the loading ramps on both banks, so there is only one on each side working, took nearly two hours to get across (joined the queue just past the runway of City Airport) so I would have been much quicker using the bridge. Sometimes I’m not as smart as I think I am!
Just heard the traffic news, the southbound side was queuing almost back to the M11 junction. I wonder if it’s an accident, or just toll delays?
Seems to be taking longer between handing over payment and the barrier lifting. OK, only a couple of seconds but multiply that by the number of vehicles…
Think the operators are on a go slow as they are all being finished next month,they are going onto ANPR payment and doing away with the tolls.
