By “middle” axle I assume you mean the third axle (it’s a 4-axle rigid). The 2nd axle appears to be missing altogether!

A TNT tried to overtake him, and he retaliated. But alas, a Stobart stuck halfway down the country lane meant that he didn’t have anywhere to go but the ditch. The Nobby Dressingtable wagon already in the ditch made a smart getaway just prior to impact.

VOSA were eating some doughnuts in the next country lane up, the one next to the scrapyard.
