Hello all!!
Not been on here for quite a while, after passing my class 2 about 17months ago i finally got a job in the industry,im not driving
a class 2 6 car transporter which is pretty ■■■■ crazy considering i’ve only had a matter of hours behind the wheel of a lorry. Started monday so my
first week is gone and im still there haha. It’ll take time but im enjoying it…so far anyway
Im gonna get a sat nav tomorrow to hopefully make my life abit easier so just after advice on whats the best TRUCK sat nav to get.i know there are alot
about so advice on best one to get would really be appreciated
cheers guys!
Al
Ive got a Snooper Truckmate which is pretty good
ME TOO GOOD but not perfect
the tom tom one is good but not perfect some of the roads it sends me on are tricky in a class two and i wouldn’t want to attempt them in a class one especially when i know for a fact a better route exists. but 95% of the time its spot on and the tom tom website has un told handy poi’s to down load that you can navigate to like kfc’,s jewson branches, truckstops and shell garages. never been sent down a road with weight limit, bridge lower than my lorry or width restriction yet
Ive heard the tomtom 7000 is the best there is but it a pricey piece of kit 400+ quid
I hardly ever use satnav any more same old routes every week
but if it is called into action ive got a old tomtom one with bridge poi’s thats never done me wrong…yet
got snooper s7000 serves me well 329 now on ebay delivered
