What’s this trailer for?

Hydraulic drop/lift axles by the look , but what’s it for?

They use them for precast sections of buildings. They were using them for the blocks of flats built in Silvertown in London.

Precast concrete or sheet glass

I have pulled a few of these. They were originally built 3m wide for special large concrete panels, and moved under a movement order. Subsequently they have been rebuilt to normal width for operation under C and U regs.

I work out the immingham depot. We are loading them out to a site in sandbach and city island in London. The trailer pictured above was one of the original 3mtr wide trailers. I’m getting a dab hand at loading them and unloading them!

I’ve seen quite a few of those trailers parked up in C.Ro Killingholme and was curious what they were used for. Now that answers my question.
