I have a gate pass that you just swipe in / out with to get into depot / out , I take out my wallet , swipe it , straight back in my wallet , so no one sees it
Today I’m told they need to take a new picture as the present one shows my present employees uniform ( you can only just see my shoulders ) , the new employees ( 1 st July ) don’t want my present company’s uniform showing on my gate card photo
It’s madness , no-one but me sees the card , it only just shows the top of my shoulders .
It’s like mi 16 are taking over , or am I missing something and this is normal behaviour when taking over a contract ?
They had to just take a pic of my head as I was wearing my present company’s uniform , crazy
wouldnt surprise me if the uniform is the same colour just a different logo
probably they dont want people that have chosen to leave being able to blag access to the site.
I’ve still got a Highways England ID card and epaulettes on my uniform, we’ve been National Highways for nearly 4 years.
You’re missing the point. If it’s a company ID card then as a group of employees and not just you, the card may be used for ID as well as a gate swipe. It’s also good security to keep cards updated fairly regularly. We laugh at those who still have their teenage photo as they near retirement. They can’t win!!
Good decision by the new employer.
