and we call this a free country not a chance lets face it we will soon be charged for the ammount toilet flushes. if your carrying weight i would rather let the old girl travel happy down hill rather than burning her brakes out which i feel would be safer even overtaking irish trucks :laughing: and if that means slightly speeding then am guilty. i think lorrys should be ammune from speeding fines and we should never get taxed on overtime we earn but thats just me

The maybe true for now, but how long before some government uses this technology for other purposes?
Governments want to control our every move it’s in the nature of people who want to be in charge, they convince us that more and more survilence is good for us, so we all seem happy to accept it, but at what point is it not in our interest?

One things for sure - they will only spend the money if they think they can get the investment back.

Trouble with stuff like this is that applies the same law for every circumstance. There’s a huge difference in doing 40 in a car when it’s raining and in traffic to doing 40 when it’s 2 in the morning and dry as a bone, but the same speed limit applies.
