STAY . AT . HOME. :unamused:

Unfortunately there are plenty that don’t have any logic or common sense and that’s why they have to be TOLD. :unamused:

Yes YOU need to be told to stop spewing incorrect info and making up your own versions and then fearmongering people by stating it is fact. Rikki_UK has already warned that there are vulnerable people struggling to cope with this - the last thing they need is people like you whipping them up into a panic believing that they can’t leave their house. :unamused:

'Q: Can I drive somewhere to exercise?
A: No. The Government is advising “to exercise locally” and that “no non-essential travel should be made”.

how ■■■■■■■ hard is that to understand…christ. it’s all there in black and white for the pigheaded.

Just to clear up the confusion, here is the official advice/rules.

Under the restrictions, people must stay at home and only leave for the following reasons:

to exercise once a day - either alone, or with members of your household
shopping for basic necessities, although this should be done as little as possible
medical need or to provide care for a vulnerable person
travel to or from work but only where this is absolutely necessary
The government has also said that key workers may take their children to school and that children may move between the homes of separated parents.

Shops selling non-essential items are closed, along with cafes, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, libraries, places of worship, gyms and leisure centres.

Some outdoor spaces, including playgrounds, outdoor gyms and some parks are also closed.

There is nothing in the restrictions which stops people driving further afield - say, to a beauty spot - in order to take exercise. However, several police forces have tried to discourage this, fearing that it could encourage overcrowding - and with it, the spread of the virus. The RAC has also advised drivers only to make essential journeys.

Gatherings of more than two people not from the same household are banned. Weddings and baptisms are banned but funerals are still allowed.

The restrictions were introduced on 23 March, initially for three weeks, but it’s thought they’re likely to be extended.

A Tory broadsheet overrules the Government’s official rules? :unamused: I know truckers are not the brightest crayons in the box, but this is a new low.

and we think the young’uns are ignorant…what a stupid ■■■■■…

I must conceed there’s some abiguity in this whole ‘daily exercise’ allowance and over the days it’s been ramped up and attempts have been made to restrict it but the message has not reached the whole populous.

But I can’t be alone with my interpretation of a quicky out the house but back home asap avoiding all contact with none family members.
Avoid as many folks as possible.
Not a half a day jolly.

Some of these buggers are acting like it’s summer holidays.

Hopefully the Oxford uni model is close that most of us have had it but till it’s confirmed I’m staying in and doing my best to get on the wife’s ■■■■ …

Dropped a bollock filling up with fuel, forgot to wear gloves total clusterfuk.

Bet she hot though :stuck_out_tongue:

Stir crazyness, jealousy/suspicion will become common soon. ‘Lockdown/Covid Rage’ anyone…

According to the BBC local news the ■■■■■■■ police are going to be stopping caravans and motor homes entering the county and sending them back from where they came.

I heard another thing about ■■■■■■■ Police, (it may be just drivercrap who knows :unamused: ), but apparentlly they have been turning back Scottish log trucks on their way to Iggesunds Workington, to their depots saying that it aint essential haulage.

Hi , Rob you are correct about the police turning back the timber trucks heading to iggesunds .
That’s till they were informed that iggesunds as well as being a paper mill , has a large biomass power station on site.

Due to everyone being at home the draw of electricity has increased and biomass power stations are now running flat out.

Timber haulage is now classed as key work.

we are hauling logs to various sites at the moment .

Eon biomass power station at Stevens croft Lockerbie.
Land energy at Girvan …to produce wood pellets for heating hospitals and care homes.
Caledonian papermill biomass power station .

As well as that the demand for pallets has increased and pallet mills are still working .

Give it a couple of months and we will be bottom of the pile again

If what you say is right, it’s sure as hell a lot more ‘essential’ than the crap I’ve been running about with this week.
Latest ‘essential’ I’ve got on is pallets of cheap crappy 10p a gallon cider, for underage drinkers in Glasgow. :unamused:
I suppose I can boast that I’m responsible for numerous teenage pregnancies in Scotland now. :sunglasses:

How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?” “Crime is common. Logic is rare. Therefore it is upon the logic rather than upon the crime that you should dwell.”

I shall carry on my normal life this weekend and will be going out on my bike, I have paid road tax and insurance and none of that is being returned, so I have paid for it and I shall use it.

Finished nightshift last night. Went to morrisons. Que at door car park was rammed. Wnt another mile to asda. Car park was ranmed. Police circled car park in van and left. Got my prvisions and went home as i was passing aldis same said police van was circuling car park.

No doubt gathering evidence that eveyone is just doinh as is.

We will have a bigger lockdown soon

Or the police driver wanted to get some shopping before he ended his shift, but both supermarkets were busy.
