A lack of decent parking facilities for HGVs in the U.K. I also do a lot of driving in a France and their Routiers network is far superior both in terms of number of locations, the facilities, quality and price of food on offer.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
apart from all the other relevant points added, then this one is a winner 365 days a year.
no facilities for parking, eating, resting,or just being treated as a normal working man.
the only other thing that puts the above into the shade is the absolute 24/7 incompetence and useless workings of highways england/uk and the wombles they instruct.
Agreed, stopped in a place in Italy last night, just off the motorway, parking for loads of trucks FOC and get to eat in a proper restaurant for less than the price of a re-heated offering from an MSA and treated the same way as if I’d been going to a restaurant for an evening.
Not indicating on roundabouts.
Truck drivers up each others arses.

Stop parking in dodgy lay-bys then
Be quicker to just list what isnt an issue
Litter left by truck drivers in the verges especially comming off motorways, and in lay-bys, bottles of urine, faeces, and discarded microwave food packaging etc.
Add to that the amount of waste you see flying out of skips, tippers etc.
Ok ok I know it’s not just truckers which mess the Country up. Uneducated Chavs are also responsible throwing fast food wrappers out of their cheap looking Saxo’s.
So to summarise it’s uneducated Chavs and Truck Drives littering, which causes my biggest issue on the roads.

I think you’ll find Littering is a national disgrace that’s done by those of all ages, occupations and social classes.
That’s easy (never miss an opportunity to say this)
so here goes.
You effers that cut in on me when you have ALMOST overtook me, because as you keep saying… …"You don’t need flashed in because you know exactly where the back of your trailer is’’
…2 Hats.
You prove you do need that flash you wonkers, everytime all of you shave a layer of dust off the front of my grille,.
Learn to drive an artic you pathetic useless showers of ■■■■ !!
I know some of you are on here.
WAIT A FEW MORE SECONDS FFS!! then pull in.
I hope you crash and burn cos I ■■■■ hate you with a vengeance!!!
I feel better now.

Peoples lane dicipline at roundabouts by ignoring the directional lane markings.
Car drivers that use laybys as a free all day car park while they then catch a bus or car pool, leaving even less safe parking for HGV drivers.

Yes I agree it’s a national disgrace.
I’ve picked up litter in the most remotest parts of the UK.
I still stand by my claim that Truckers are the worst for littering.
Drivers who can not use the empty lane to the left on dual carriageways and motorways,
Drivers who get upset when I gracefully pull in after the overtake and slowly increase
the gap from 3" as I pull away from them over the next half an hour
The standard of driving is absolutely diabolical.
I’m just getting into wide loads…and the other day,I went through the road works on the a14.
They’re trying to squeeze through, with 2 wheels on the grass!
Wtf…
It’s got red and white stripes on it,and a flashing light.
They can’t go anywhere, coz both lanes are backed up…anyway.
It’s insane
Lane markings written on the road indicating which lane you need to be in when there is always standing traffic so nobody can read them anyway. Then they wonder why drivers get in to the wrong lane, yes I know some chance it toget ahead by using the wrong lane but if it was overhead for all to see it would be simple.

Agree! Took a wide load to Bristol last week from Lancashire. All marked and lit etc. Had THREE trucks clip their mirrors on my load in their frantic effort to get past me!
Crazy people.
I’ve seen them get inbetween the ■■■■■■ and the escortee!
Trundling along…totally oblivious.
Last year one of our drivers was delivering to the roadworks on the 62…stradling lanes 2 and 3…backing them off,for a wide swing onto site, and some ■■■■■ gone up his off side, and got literally dragged through the cones.
And this was a doctor…an educated man!
Copper come out,and didn’t even bother taking our drivers details.
Cars (and quite a few trucks) driving around with their front fogs on when it’s clear as day because they make them look cool (or front fogs + dipped headlamps=extra cool). Nissan Juke and Quashqai drivers are especially guilty.
Any company names with the term “solutions” in them.
Meaningless corporate slogans on lorries and vans.

A lot of people don’t seem to realise what the ■■■■■■ vehicle is for or what it is doing. There was even a thread on here with someone asking if they had to take notice of an ■■■■■■ vehicle, and that’s from a supposed professional driver who should know better

Trouble is now days the whole world and his wife have flashing lights on their motors, from satellite installers , mechanic, motors driving around having forgotten to turn them off . So many that nobody takes any notice any more.
Bad drivers for sure whether it be car, lorry, bus or the two wheeled mode.
As has been said the standards are attrocious.
The big problem though is most drivers think they are the best and tend to follow their own rules rather than the ones set out for them.
Driving in the UK is rarely pleasurable these days with all the selfish types, the arrogant types and the ones that think they own the road and take it out on any innocent driver not driving to suit them.
Landscaped ■■■■■■■ Roundabouts.
All you can see, if you have to stop at one, is about 50 feet to your right. You have no idea what’s going to appear from behind the trees/landscaping/modern art, whatever.
If you’re over 40 tonnes you can only pull away very, very slowly hoping for the best. Nine times out of ten you get away with it, but when something does appear, it’s usually someone in a hurry.
Their response to seeing their path blocked by 44 tonnes of timber and steel? Why they do what any reasonable driver would do. They accelerate towards you, horn blaring, then brake at the last minute, as if you’ve timed your manoeuvre as a personal slight to them.
To be honest, it can actually be quite entertaining. Still dangerous though.
as previously mentioned, indicating to move from lane 1 to 2 and car drivers refusing to move into lane 3
road users who ignore my ■■■■■■ driver on single carriageways and come flying at me when I’m loaded with a fragile 12ft plus load
lorry drivers who block a clearly marked “abnormal loads only” bay at services because they can’t be arsed to back into one of the many empty regular spaces. (even worse when they act like you’re the bad guy for asking politely that they move)
cars who park anywhere they please, blocking access.
the (some) artics that refuse to be courteous and move left slightly when a wide load is overtaking them on the motorway/dual carriageway, deliberately sitting right near the lane-dividing line, while you’re sat as far right as poss to avoid contact (sorry but if you’re at 50mph I’m not sitting behind for god knows how long when am entitled to pass)
severe lack of parking all over the country
middle lane hoggers
drivers texting/etc whilst driving
