What is this???

Can anyone tell me the correct name for this item. It’s used on the ABS for a tilt. Stupid thing really, but it’s been bugging me. Ta.

i cant penfold no sorry… but why is it on your carpet?
(p.s do you know rob lilley?)

ive seen these recently on trailers instead of 2 electric lines from 2 different electric sockets they have 1 socket with 2 lines from it the same type as the abs lead type of socket.

i think its and iso somthing or other silly number s

hi
thats got nothing to do with the ABS
if you look inside it should have 15 pins (ABS only 5 or 7)

a lot of new trailers have 15 poll electrics now and what you there have is an adapter

we call them in Germany Adapter 15poll into 2x7 the last one cost me32 Euros

Geoff

gbtransp - the single rear socket has 15 pins, the two sockets at the front 1 has 15 the other 7 pins.

Its a plastic electrical thingy

Its called a plug

The 7 pin are for the ABS and if another is fitted with 15 pins it is for the EBS and electronic weighers found on some trucks

If you have a look on a German ADR trailer you will find 2 of these type of plugs, plus 2 air lines and another 2 electrical leads for lights and rear fogs or it will be a large screw fitting plug that carries all the feeds for lighting

ITS AN UNWANTED XMAS PRESENT

Was it on Ebay?

It certainly clashes with the carpet. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Wheel Nut:
Its called a plug

NO its a socket possibly a double socket… :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

taken it to photo editor & played around with it, still can’t make it out.

Can you re photo it from a bit further away & with the camera image quality setting changed from “high” to “medium” or “low”.

Also, where on the trailer is it located? (headboard?)

If it is a multi-pin ISO socket & the unit is fitted with one & you are stopped by VOSA with no ISO lead connected, you will be for the high jump.

Is this better

It appears to be an adaptor to take Primary and Auxiliary suzzy connections and change them into an ISO format.

its a 2 into one plug, maybe will work with 2 diffrent type of wiring?
