What is it about

The safety of the inside of a vehicle that makes drivers feel invincible?

Why do some drivers think it’s okay to cut you up,pull out right in front of you and nearly cause you a serious accident? …But when you dare to show your contempt by sounding the horn you are met by a flurry of abuse and various hand signals. Is it too much for them to simply admit their mistake and hold their hands up?

Sort it out if your going to correct me

The conclusion I’ve come to over the years is that they give the abuse because they know what they’ve done is reckless and you’ve brought attention to it by sounding the horn. Personally I sound my horn to make them aware of my pressence. After all, if they pull out on me they obviously can’t see the big blue truck heading towards them.

Nothing to do with driving skills, or lack thereof. In today’s society, everyone wants to be the alpha, and to show courtesy to another is a sign of weakness.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there with that.Though i have learned in life that the people who give it all the bravado and say they are going to do this or that to you won’t or can’t.Its just all show. Its the ones that say nothing and just lash out that you need to be wary of.
