What I need for trunking

May seem a daft question but I’m possibly getting a job involving being on road all week long. Umm what do I need. Sleeping bag pillow clothes are obvious but food I’m stuck with?dont fancy eating at services and wagons every day. Any help will be helpful thanks in advance

Ahh, you mean Tramping??

Trunking is when you go in at x o’clock, take a trailer from 1 point to another, drop and swap or tip and reload, then return to start point and finish…

ALTHOUGH, I’ve worked for a few firms ‘trunking’ where I’ve had 7 points… But it’s trunking and not multi-drop :unamused:

Buy a Primus Stove but ventilate the cab for poisonous gases.
Buy a sauce pan.
Buy some tinned stuff from ASDA, like stew, meatballs, soup, beans+sausages, spagetti,
rice pudding etc
Buy a loaf from ASDA
Buy various sandwich spreads from ASDA
Buy some frozen chips from ASDA
Buy some Robinsons orange and 4 litres of water from ASDA

I like ASDA.

Not a daft question at all, very sensible. I don’t know what you like to eat but try to increase your fibre and fluids if the job involves a lot of driving and little exercise. Tins of stuff like beans, tinned fruit, lentil soups etc can be stored for quick snacks which might help keep you away from the greasy stuff. Take every opportunity to eat fresh fruit and veg.

This may help

you may need to crack a window open after that lot

TNUK automated response…
You are trunking so you are obviously using a DoubleDeck trailer, all you need is a tomtom with maps dated 2002, TOPTIP - set the mode to shortest route.

If you are using free parking in industrial estates, big lay by’s etc., where there are no toilet facilities you will need a wide necked bottle, some carrier bags and a bog roll.
You can get these for nothing if you use your initiative.
