What happens when a short single axle trailer is only loaded

A Co-op post from the archives.

at the front…

Then recovery picks it up…

It looks a little heavy on the pin drive.

The best way to drop a trailer like that is to lower the air bags first and then drive out steadily. We used to have to drop tanks occasionally which were loaded in the front pot, dropping the air suspension just helps to keep them level.

I imagine now, that your health and safety man is going to order a load of greasy screwjacks and ferry trestles :open_mouth:

I had to try to hook up to a trailer “dropped” like that at Avesta, while the guy who dropped it watched. They did it the cheap way with a 25 tonne forklift.

i reckon they should worry more about putting it back on it’s wheels than what day it gets washed

cO-OPS

:open_mouth: Blimey, that lot must be minted. :open_mouth:

:unamused: Fancy calling a wrecker to do a tiddly little job like that. :unamused:

The places I’ve worked at would have used two FLTs and then done what Wheel Nut said. :grimacing:
 He’s right about the tankers too, I’ve seen that first-hand, but it wasn’t me who did it. :sunglasses:
