What happened to ANC? Motorway network used to be full of them on nights but you never see them anymore.
Similarly, what happened to that company in Yorkshire area that had blue double deck 26 tonne rigids on FM12 chassis? Used to see loads of them but then they suddenly disappeared. Canât remember name of them. Was wondering if theyâd âmorphedâ into S.R.C.L. who seem to have suddenly popped up out of nowhere, also with 26 tonne deckers.
ANC started out as a man with a van and eventually became the UKâs 4th or 5th largest parcel carrier. FedEx bought them out a few years ago but they wonât be retaining any of the old ANC trucks or personal plates when the fleet is eventually entirely replaced which is a bit of a shame as ANCâs heritage will be lost, always thought they could keep the ANC plates as a small nod to the history but big corporate businesses donât think like that do they! .
