what is the best electric kettle to get for a truck?
as thinking on the one below, not cheap compared to others but willing to pay extra for quality

Just bought a Waeco myself for a decent price from here conrad-uk.com/ce/en/product/ … Detail=005
No complaints with it so far, fitted a 20a socket and fuse before using though as the current draw is 16a and the 24v socket on my Volvo was only rated for 10a.

that looks the same but cheaper
how long it take to boil ?
Yep, it’s the same as the one you linked to and takes roughly 10 mins to boil.
Conrad who I bought mine from are based in Germany I think, but delivery to me only took 4 days.

10min not to bad at all. is the kettle secure to the mount any good ?
Yes it’s the best electric kettle there is. The switch and lamp are useful too, for example the big red kettle just plugs in when you want it, it’ll boil in it’s own time and cut out when boiled, and then reboil again when it’s cooled the thermostat down. If you miss it boil you never know if it has just boiled and will be OK or if it will start boiling in a minute. The Waeco can be switched on almost straght away again, if it’s boiling the light will be on. 8-10 mins will boil 2 standard mug fulls of water.
That’s a good price too, the only recommendation I’d have is fitting a Hella plug rather than the cig socket plug.
thats perfect. thanks for the info lads
Kettle clicks into place on the mount so is good and secure. Comes with screws and rawlplugs so you can fix the mount to floor or wall.

Hella plug is probably the best way to go, although I bought one of these ebay.co.uk/itm/330752473024? … 1439.l2649 put in a 20a fuse and, touch wood, works fine.
I’ve got an all-ride one, its 24v, blue and has a mount to screw to dash etc. I’ve had it about 2 years now and it cost about £15 in south mimms. Use it daily and takes 10 mins to boil.
ordered a waeco after good reviews.
thanks for that
