What does a C+E exam entail, been a long while since I did a driving exam so just really wanting to know what I need to refresh on really.
Eyesight check reading a number plate, I always wear my glasses full time anyway.
Obviously a vehicle inspection for defects and ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy.
Coupling and uncoupling a trailer also.
Reverse manoeuvre.
Emergency/Controlled stop that is no longer part of the test is that right?
Test driving period obviously.
General highway code questions?
General tacho and WTD questions?
Theory test normally but as I did the theory test when I did my class 2 I don’t need to do that again.
Anything I have missed out any advice?
Is it 15 minors pass 16 or more fail still? Is 3 minors in any one category a fail still?

Aye they’ve taken the emergency stop out now! You’ll do a hill stop/start usually behind a car so it counts as an angled start aswell. An independent drive for a while just basically following signs for somewhere . I think its 4 minors in the same category . And theres usually a bit of driving in a city centre and motorway but i’d imagine that depends on where you’re sitting the test.
Well I’m going in with the attitude that I will be passed before I start as long as I don’t give them reason to fail me, positive metal attitude and all that. My biggest thing is probably getting out of bad habits lol
I know how to reverse and how to couple uncouple albeit doing it with a terdberg tug and occasionally units, however we have to do a split couple because of the fridge units on the trailers and DHL policy, so a lot will just be learning to do it the right way for the test examiner.
