What do you think?

I’m really not sure that’s true. I have seen a lot of posters on here upload pictures and vids expecting approval only to get called out on something.

In fact any photo brings out the ‘taking photos whilst driving’ finger waggers.

Cyclists and motorists will never mix as long as they are sharing the same piece of Tarmac. Not a whole lot can be done about it.

A comment that I cant disagree with

The Sarge:
My attempt at a haiku

Well it was four lines Sarge, further to that I’ll not comment.

Right, this is about the first video to avoid confusion! I consider myself pretty impartial re the cycling/driver saga. Taking an overview of the first video, quite what point the cyclist was trying to make with the video I do not know. Maybe it was edited. It seems the subtitles are creating drama, out of no drama. He heard a siren before a van. Well that’s great, and it’s because he has the priviledge of being outside - not because he is a cyclist. The van driver didn’t hear it at the same time because he was in a box. I doubt the van was trying to chance his arm, he thanked the guy after all. Stick said cyclist in a car or van and his ability to hear a siren more quickly will be diminished the same as anyone else. A benefit of being outside? yes. A criticism of vehicle users? No- its a human limitation, stick anyone in a box and they can’t hear as well.

Secondly, what on earth is all that about the HGV space thing? Caption reads, “HGV accelerating” or something like that. Well, that’s hardly the crime of the century that did not Warrant the theatrics. The HGV is perfectly allowed to “accelerate” (what a crime, accelerating) away from the lights so long as they allow a safe distance which leads me to the next point. How much space does that cyclist want? The HGV was at a safe distance going off the footage. It is worthy of note that the same space obssessed cyclist who posted this footage thinks nothing of ignoring his own “more space mate” rules when darting in and out of traffic (and that truck) leading up to the lights. If he wants space why does he jeopardise his own distance from the traffic when it suits him?

Just watched the second video. Looks like he found Mr angry in London, hard to find that guy as everyone is so nice :unamused: . To be fair the van driver is a complete mustard balloon. I kind of gather though the dude of the bike was smiling to himself at the result. He could have hit the cycling jackpot if a wagon driver had lost his temper. Once again, quite what point of his posting the video is I do not know. Well, I’ll hazard a guess, he’s on a one man crusade to dishonerate motorists. That’s nothing new, it seems the craze. My friend who is a big cyling bod thinks nothing of banging on cars etc. I said to him one day he’ll do that to the wrong person. I agree by all means letting someone know you’re there, but if you bang their vehicle in anger don’t get bent out of shape if they get out and then kick your bike to bits. They’d only post a video of that though.

Rent usunder and never the twain shall meet! It seems that way.

Ah another nob on a bike ranting about “space”. Hmm strange how 20 yards “is not enough” yet 30 seconds earlier he was evidently completely happy with space barely wider than his bike as he rode at speed between all the vehicles approaching the traffic lights. :unamused:

The only thing the van driver did wrong was not put him out of his misery for good and then destroy the evidence.

The second video, the cyclists hits the van with his hand.
Then is proud to put titles up at the end to say the van man lost his job.
What a pen head.

The van driver was a complete and utter ■■■.

That is all

I agree. If the van was able to be hit by a cyclist as he went past that means he is way to close. The reaction from the van driver I would say “normal” reaction by someone who didn’t like the fact someone had hit his vehicle but reacted to it rather then thinking why he hit the van, if that makes sense.

I would be the same if anyone did that to me but I wouldn’t go as far as push him though, and I wouldn’t be that close when I overtake.

If only he knew what assault really meant…

Do cyclist never check over their shoulders before pulling out to overtake parked cars now?
