What do you make of this?

A CRAZED driver scares the daylights out of other motorists on a busy dual carriageway – by going the WRONG way at 70mph.

The Renault Clio sent oncoming cars “scattering” as it careered three miles down the A726 by Newton Mearns, near Glasgow.

Footage of the afternoon incident shows a yellow van swerve to avoid the motor while other drivers end up on the grass verge to avoid disaster.

A workman who filmed it said: “The guy looked like he was on a suicide mission.”

The clip of the incident – wrongly labelled the B767 – has been viewed by thousands on YouTube. Police are now investigating.

Is this a suicide attempt? Or could a person actually be so oblivious that they are driving down the wrong side of a dual carriageway. The road its on is quite a busy lorry trunk route from m77-east kilbride it is quite amazing no lorries where on the road at the time.

It’s a bit long winded for a suicide attempt.

To end up driving the wrong way down a duel carrageway you must have a screw loose, perhaps the same loose screw scenario had the driver convinced the best option was to get to the next exit (entrance) as fast as possible?

Some people are only alive because it’s illegal to have them killed. :unamused:

I remember many years ago, some idiot took a bet to drive from didcot to Newbury on the wrong side of the A34. his mate was videoing him right up to the moment he hit another vehicle head on and killed himself and the driver in the other car. That time it was in the early hours of the morning.

Here’s a link to the video.

It’s a shame we share the roads with these people.

Thats scares the brown stuff out of me seeing that video. Its the last thing you’d expect to see coming toward you and the aftermath would have been horrific if they hit some innocent driver head on. The driver must have known what they were doing when you see it though.

I cannot understand how it is possible for someone who has passed a driving test in the UK to end up on the wrong side of a motorway or dual carriageway, and then drive down it for THREE MILES before realising something is wrong. Things like this amaze me:

I think maybe if we wait till our 80s we might personally discover how it’s done:-
