Talking of pointless courses, "Driver Welfare " is the biggest turd of them all. Guessing calories has nothing to do with driving at all.

I totally agree about the Drivers Health courses, especially when you see some of the trainers delivering the course (and that includes me

I seem to remember the nice French DCPC lady telling us how driver welfare/health was a very important topic in France and popular on the CPC course 
Driver Welfare may’ve been popular in France but as far as I’m concerned, they can keep it. It was intelligence insulting nonsense.

, does any REAL driver on here, with a few years under their belt ACTUALLY BELIEVE it is an asset to them, and not a money making excercise/stealth tax in it’s present form, and does that silly cow traffic comissioner or whatever the hell she calls herself now, who is threatening even more expenditure on us, in the form of fines ffs, realise the futility of it when I can go and put in the required hours and cover the same syllabus each session and qualify for it , how in hell does that make me professionally competent, ignoring the fact I have done the bloody job since 1979, …Like I said pure horse crap, and you newly qualified instructors don’t even bother answering my post with any kind of attempted justification as I could not be arsed to read it!

Price is definitely not the issue as we cannot go much cheaper. I just think there is a general apathy and lack of money floating around to do it. It is a shame more businesses will not pay for the courses for their drivers. They should. After all where would they be without their drivers.Hauliers haven’t got any margin available to hand over to parasites in the educonomy.
Drivers have faced severe downward pressure on their wages for five years now,and haven’t got any spare wages available to hand over to parasites in the educonomy.
Just go do one, eh? Get a proper job, and take ROG with you. The days have gone now when we could afford to pay useless parasites out of general taxation.

I’ll make this my last post on the subject cos I know I’m wasting my time. Today I ran a 7 hour course drivers hours and digi tachos. only 5 in the class. One guy in particular did not want to be there. he drove a wagon and drag grab wagon for his Dad and it was his Dad had booked the course.
Mr Man came in most annoyed. “Wasting my ■■■■■■■ time”. “What the ■■■■ are you gonna teach me”. he sat there like a sulking teen not wanting to join in. His attitude changed throughout the day and he left having shook my hand telling how he was glad he came and how he’ll be telling all his mates to get on a course. When I asked if he felt he had learnt anything he said “Yeah, I learnt what an ignorant git I am thinking I know everything when I clearly don’t”. he also told me how he was glad someone had taken the time to show him how to use a digi tacho properley and admitted to having been scared to ask anyone he knew. And just before he left he booked his next course - might even bring his Dad (who is apparently 79 years old and still driving).
Now leave me alone, I’ve got to start spending all this loverly money I’m making out of poor unfortunate drivers

You say MY grammar is terrible , pot and kettle spring to mind, and maybe you should use your spell checker…Well you started it mate! …Anyway that’s a very convenient (not to mention dodgy) anecdote to attempt to prove a point, and justify an unjustifiable and costly piece of pointless legislation, I will put it in my collection of “total ■■■■■■■■”
