What do you listen to in your Truck

When in the UK, radio 2 overnight, then radio 4 after Alex, back to Wogan, then usually my CD mix here and there.
Over here: BFBS, AFN, Radio 4 Longwave, FFH, FFN, Regnboln, Sunshine, and that Oostende based trance station sometimes.
CDs: MP3 cds with: Milligan’s autobiography read by the man himself, HHGTG, i have one full of rave/trance, another full of country, one full of rock and goth… quite the mix to be honest.

radio two during the day,and the archers every night, radio 4 at night, with a mix of cd"s.rem, radiohead, doves, but got a wide taste in music,so anything goes apart from any of that radio 1 crap.p.s. i think its high time sarah kennedy had it away on her toes, she is the most annoying, unfunny, person i have ever listened to.i also dont like chris evans much.bring back johnny walker.

Anyone listened to the new Guns N’ Roses album yet?

Just going through it now, not bad at all, its more late Motley Crue, but with Axl’s voice of course, than it is Gn’R but it works, in fact I just love the solo’s. Robin Finck from Nine inch Nails (Who I don’t like) on guitar, just did an amazing job.

Alex

Went to the Isle of Wight festival in 1970 and it was stuff like that, that made me deaf :open_mouth: pretty handy really cos I rarely hear what the Mrs says nowadays, though it has to be said thats where I picked her up (sorry, met her). There was Jimmy Hendrix, The Who, Moody Blues, Jethro Tull and whole load of others that I can just remember in the haze ( ) of the event.

Tiger.

Radio 1 all day :sunglasses:

a fella in my work has a daily routine … from 6-8 talksport , from 8-9 radio 2, etc thats too much effort for me

When I was in my twenties and worked for Rosiers I jumped into one of the old timers wagons and with a sneer said to him “you can always tell you old ■■■■■ 'cos your radio is tuned to Radio 2” to which he replied “yeah, and you can always tell you young ones 'cos the ink keeps coming off your licence!”

I shut up then. By the way, now I’m an old ■■■■ it’s radio 2 all day.

Haha, radio 1 is good u need listen to that

Alex Lester on Radio 2 1st thing, then over to Radio 1 for Chris Moyles till 10am.
If i’m in the Cambridge area its Kiss till lunchtime (anyone else listen to ‘Kisstory’ between 11 and 12 weekdays??) if not its Sarah Cox.

Mid-day brings Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 for some ‘shouting at the radio’ moments!!

Then 2pm comes Steve Wright…an absolute leg-end!!!

In between all that depending on moods i’m currently listening to new albums from Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs, The Script (which is superb) and Coldplay…

Gaunty loses case but going to appeal. I honestly though he was one of the best shock jocks on the radio.

Talk Sport have sacked some decent presenters after being known as the open talk station.

I must really be a sad “B.” Alex Lester yes, but thethe rest of the presenters bore me
rigid, particularly the ones that think they are experts on the subject of football ,
the so called"beautifull game", they have even less idea than that pathetic bunch
of no hopers that made this country a laughing stock in South Africa. I tend to listen
to talking books which I get from the library, but I must turn them off when i,m
looking for somewhere as they can distract you a bit.Oops shouldnt have
admitted that i will have the earhole police after me.

nothing :unamused:

because every time i turn on the radio on, somebody calls me :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp:

Used to love listening to Adrian Allen, think he was on Heart a couple of years back before it went all ‘mincy’ but then he just disappeared…fantastic ‘talk’ show, proper shock jock…most nights was well ‘past the bone’ never mind close to it!! But,as like some of the others,i also have a taste for the club classics,M.O.S, Euphoria etc etc.keeps me awake at 3am with 2.5hrs still to run. My fave ‘toon’ is Ferry Corstens version of Barbers ‘Adaggio for Strings’…classic…i snipped it about a bit n it’s been my ring tone for about 5 mobiles now!!

I have a load of audiobooks burned onto MP3 discs and listen to them. Right now I am on a Lee Child/ Jack Reacher kick. Stephen Kings Cgristine is probably going to be next on the list though.

Radio 2 as default setting, switching to Radio 4 for The Archers at 2pm and perhaps the play afterwards if I’m driving up til 3pm. Back to Radio 2 until 7pm for more Archers and the arts programme on R4, then Radio 2’s highlight for me - Radcliffe & Maconie at 8pm!! Shame it’s been cut back to 3 nights…

Since they’ve been on I’ve stopped listening to Radio 4 in an evening, but used to enjoy their variety of programmes. You used to find out lots of interesting things you never knew before.

Weekends similar mix, do (sson to be did) enjoy Wossy on a Saturday morning and I miss Mo Dutta too. Change of hours means I don’t catch too much of Alex Lester these days, morse the pity.

I was ‘looking’ for some Rosetta Stone Learn Dutch and German but they are hard to find  :frowning: :frowning: I prefer my mix of music played through my TT and the radio frequency. Don’t think I could sit and listen to a Language course, too much to concentrate on.

I drive a 10 year old Magnum so i listen to rattles and squeaks.
